Monetize Your Efforts

Why did you go into business?

For some it was to escape a corporate structure and gain control over your time. For others it was to make a difference in someone else's life. Maybe you wanted to do something you were passionate about.

And then there's money.

Money is definitely a motivator for most people. This virtual and tactile currency allows you to take dream vacations, help the community, and spend more time with the people you love.

You may not have gone into business for the sole purpose to make money, but let's face it: you need money to make your wildest dreams come true.

There's just no getting around it.

So today's post is about monetizing strategies so that you can make intentional efforts to produce income with more ease.

CALL TO ACTIONS

A call to action is literally telling your audience to do something that leads them closer to making a purchase.

A few examples are asking them to enroll in a 3 day challenge, take a webinar, jump on a discovery call, download a supplement, or just plain visiting a sales page.

The key is to provide valuable information first that they can use to elevate their efforts in your field of expertise, and then you give them direction on what steps to take next.

Your call to action should relate directly to the information you provided, and take them to the next level on the subject matter.

MASTER CONVERSATIONAL SALES

All business women are sales representatives. You can't expect people to come knocking down your door asking for service: you must go after them!

Actually, I already wrote a blog entry on this if you want more insight on the topic. (Check it out!)

PROVIDE A PLEASANT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR AUDIENCE

What is the worst customer experience you've ever gone through?

Think about all the things that frustrated you and take preventative measures in your own business. Make it easy for people to shop with you by providing clear, concise information on your processes, services, refund policies, etc.

Be accessible, so when questions and concerns arise, your audience knows you will get back to them with a concrete solution in a timely fashion.

OFFER UP SELLS WITH EVERY SERVICE

Up sells are icing on the cake for you and your customer.

They provide that extra kick of awesome for your offering that's going to help your client realize results faster, better, etc.

They also provide you with additional income for someone who is already excited to shop with you.

If you're thinking it's too invasive to offer an up sell, think of it this way: up sells make your client's life easier! Why not offer to teach babies sign language with your sitter business? Why not offer basic grooming with your dog walking service?

You aren't asking them to buy something they can't use, you're providing a luxury they'll enjoy.
