Education Isn't Enough

You are brilliant.

You don't just jump into things without researching them first and you pride yourself on your resourcefulness and intelligence.

But education isn't enough!

I too am a bookworm who finds joy in research (weird, I know lol) but in the world of business, information is only part of the solution.

I know the world stressed the value of going to college and getting a degree, but last time I checked, no one gets hired based on how smart they are.

It's true; that 3.5 GPA means absolutely nothing.

Information without implementation is a dead end for those brave enough to start a business. If you're unsure of where to start, I have 3 tracks for you to explore.

Track 1: Invest In An Experience

Get first hand 'know how'! You can study as an apprentice to someone who has reached the status you want to reach, take an internship and use that to build your network, or take on a job that gives you the skills you need to be successful in your desired industry.

Think about it: in most jobs you receive training to prepare you. The same goes for entrepreneurship, because there are just some things you can't learn in a book.

Track 2: Invest In Professional Help

If you want to accelerate your progress towards building a lucrative brand, a professional can help! Not only can they give you a road map to follow, but you'll receive hands on training from someone who has been where you are.

Professionals have overcome the pitfalls and obstacles that are up ahead, so they'll help you navigate around them or work through them.

Sure you can do it all on your own, but a professional can save you a lot of headaches and leverage your time and energy towards running a successful business.

Track 3: Invest In Your Strategy

Are you a cheapskate?

Well, let me tell you entrepreneurship may not be for you if you're not willing to spend money. Website hosting, email distribution, CRMs, appointment schedulers- all these things come with a cost.

What are the tools of your trade? How much will these add up to be in overhead and monthly expenses?

Don't worry! If you focus on sales first, your business will pay for itself. But you must be willing to invest in tools to enhance your customer experience and advance the delivery of your services.
